HSE Policy

Zero harm to people, assets, and the environment — the operating standard on every LeadPath Energy site.

Last updated · January 2025

01Our Commitment

LeadPath Energy Limited is committed to conducting every operation without harm to people, communities, assets, or the environment. HSE performance carries equal weight with commercial and technical performance in every decision we take — and no task is so urgent that it cannot be done safely.

02Standards We Operate To

  • ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system.
  • Alignment with ISO 45001 occupational health and safety practice.
  • Alignment with ISO 14001 environmental management practice.
  • Full compliance with NUPRC, NMDPRA, NOSDRA, and NCDMB requirements.
  • Client and joint-venture bridging documents on every project site.

03Our Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and control hazards before work begins, through JSA and permit-to-work discipline.
  • Provide competent supervision, verified certification, and fit-for-purpose equipment on every job.
  • Empower every worker with stop-work authority, without fear of reprisal.
  • Investigate all incidents and near-misses to root cause and share the learning across the business.
  • Prepare for and rehearse emergency response, including oil-spill and medevac scenarios.

04Environmental Stewardship

We work to prevent spills and uncontrolled releases, minimise flaring and emissions, manage waste responsibly through licensed handlers, and restore worksites on completion. Environmental impact assessments are completed and approved before mobilisation on all applicable projects.

05People and Community

Our workforce is 94% African, and we invest in continuous HSE training, competency assessment, and health surveillance. We engage host communities early, respect local content obligations, and prioritise local hiring wherever competency requirements allow.

06Performance and Review

We have recorded zero lost-time injuries since 2021. Leading and lagging indicators are reported monthly to executive management, and this policy is reviewed annually or after any significant incident or change in operations.

07Reporting an HSE Concern

Our HSE desk is staffed 24 hours a day. Report any incident, hazard, or concern on +234 1 460 4911, or by email to info@leadpathenergy.com. Reports may be made anonymously.
